Peelings
What is it? What does it involve?
Peeling consists of applying a chemical substance to the skin in order to obtain limited destruction of the damaged epidermis and the superficial layers of the dermis in order to obtain healthy regeneration of the destroyed layers and stimulation of the underlying layers.
In the practice, glycolic acid is generally used in different percentages (20 to 70%) and in different buffers (pH + or – acid).
To be used for what type of pathology?
The indications are :
- all pathologies caused by exposure to the sun (photoaging): lentigos, actinic keratoses, yellowish complexion, wrinkles and fine lines...,
- hyperpigmentation: pregnancy or post-inflammatory masks,
- scars
- retentional acne (active comedones).

Does it give good results?
The desired result is smoother, healthier-looking, more toned, rejuvenated, tighter and more evenly pigmented skin.
How many sessions are needed ?
Four to ten sessions, depending on the pathology, spaced one to two weeks apart.
Does it hurt ? Side effects
The technique is not painful, but it does give a warming sensation due to the acid and sometimes a tingling sensation, which is quickly neutralised by applying water.
The treatment is contraindicated if you are taking certain medications or if you have outbreaks of herpes or open wounds.
