Treatments - General Dermatology
Hairs
Today, both men and women take care of their hair.
Hair loss (alopecia) can reveal various internal pathologies or be the consequence of treatments (drugs, total anaesthetics). It can also be “natural” after a pregnancy, breastfeeding or due to ageing, therefore without pathology but “physiological”.
The first thing to do is to consult your doctor and get advice. and over-the-counter substances can be the first step in the treatment of hair loss (amino acids, vitamins, etc.) If not, a specialist opinion will be required and the Dermatologist will clarify the situation, make a diagnosis and propose an appropriate treatment. The treatment of hair loss can often slow down or even stop the progression of alopecia.
These treatments can be medicinal but also technical (P.R.P., LED, UVA, laser, dermojet, etc.).
Nails
Nails are part of the “Dermatology” specialty:
- skin appendages, very useful for all manipulations, whose pathology concerns the Dermatologist in the first place,
- Bacterial and mycotic infections are frequent,
- malformations can be operated under local anaesthesia quite easily in the practice (sterility assured),
- Some tumours, more dangerous, must be diagnosed as soon as possible on deformation of the nail (BIOPSIE sometimes necessary).
A special Nd-YAG laser has been acquired to avoid taking medication in case of mycotic infection (“fungus”). The sessions of this device “VELURE” S9 are done once a week, 4 times, then every 3 months 1 to 2 times.
