Fillers / Hyaluronic Acid
What is it? What does it involve?
It is a product for filling facial wrinkles, more suitable than the bovine collagen used previously.
This dermatological technique consists of filling wrinkles
that have been “emptied” of their collagen:
- perioral wrinkles,
- nasolabial fold wrinkles,
- or those between the eyes (" lion's wrinkles ").
The injection can start with 0, 5 ml or 1 ml ampoules depending on the age and depth of the wrinkles.
At what age should I start this type of treatment?
There is no “ideal” age to start this treatment. A consultation with a dermatologist is necessary to determine whether or not to start this treatment or if there is another, perhaps more suitable, treatment.
In general, the start of this type of “correction”, which is also a prevention, is between the ages of 35 and 45.
Advantages ?
The injected product corresponds to the molecules that the skin naturally contains. It does not require a preliminary test, unlike collagen, because there is no known allergy.
Its ease of injection (treatment of a ¼ of an hour), its duration (visible effect between 6 and 24 months), the fact that it is not subject to any allergy and that it ensures prevention, are all assets which mean that today collagen is practically no longer used.
This product has been used for more than 10 years. It is very safe and sterile and is not extracted from any animal.
How many sessions are needed ?
At the beginning, treatments are done once or twice between 12 and 36 months, then once a year, then once every 2 years for the maintenance of the “volume” of the face.
How much does it cost?
The cost of a correction can be obtained during the consultation.
In addition to the filling of wrinkles and furrows, for the treatment of mobile wrinkles of the upper face which are formed by muscle contraction, Botox injections are used.
